CNY 2010 KL

Because of the new school, we could not go back to Kuching for Chinese New Year. I only had 2 days off. We spent it in KL and Kuching grandparents came over.

"SAH CHAP MEH" (CNY eve) : Helping mum decorate her Chinese New Year basket.

Getting reading to go out for 'Sah Chap Meh' dinner. This is the first time I get to celebrate it with both grandparents.

"CHEH EET" (First day of CNY): Getting ready to go out for lunch.
Our normal ritual when we spend CNY in KL. The lunch will always be timsum at MO. Ah kong with "Choy san yeh".

Parked outside MO, the 'real' Lightning McQueen.

Gong Xi Fa Chai - Year of the PIG

Back home.

Choh-Choh (Great-grandma), Ah Kong, me, Ah Mah, and Uncle Jerry (aka Ah Chek)

Grandma and me.

Dad and me. Lunching at Crowne Plaza hotel in Kuching. We're starting a new tradition since it's the first time we're spending CNY in Kuching. Normally our tradition for 1st day CNY lunch is at MO in KL.

Mum and me. She is so insistent that I have the cap on. I'm not to pleased about it.

This is the cap I am talking about. It managed to stay on for a few seconds before I swipe it off again.

Check out my CNY outfit mum managed to get me. It came with a cap with a pigtail. I don't dig hats so it didn't had a chance to be on my head for long.

Sah Chap Meh - Night before CNY

Those that abandoned me.

This is one of the oldest temple in Kuching. It's very nicely lit up with lines of red lanterns.
Tua Pek Kong Temple. After they put me to bed, they sneaked out.

It's really bouncy too.

Having found a new usage for water bottles.

And I am as usual busy with my water bottle fascination.

Grandma is busy in the kitchen preparing our Sah Chap Meh dinner. Beware.... she is always 'hot' (as in temperament, heat generation, and possibly even physique... hehehe)

Dad as usual is still busy working, despite the hour or occasion being the eve of CNY or that it's a Saturday night or the fact that he's on leave. I wonder why he even bother taking leave........

Great-grandma looks really happy. Waiting for the Sah Chap Meh dinner to start.
